Do Shrink Sleeve Labels Drive Consumer Buying Decisions?

Shrink sleeve labels make some of the most popular products in the supermarket. Whether you purchase products with them or not you are bound to see them all around the supermarket. Making products stand out and look different is a great way to attract a consumer’s attention. Manufacturers need to ensure that your product looks different from the rest that are up on a supermarket shelf. Once you have made your product stand out, a customer’s attention comes gradually. If you are trying to attract attention, shrink sleeve designs are the perfect thing to utilize for your product. Here is why shrink sleeve labelling is so important:

Shrink Sleeve Labels Means More Real Estate for Your Product

Using shrink sleeve labels, brands can utilize the entire container of your product as an effective method of showing it off. This allows your product to have more displaying space on a supermarket shelf and a greater chance to attract customer attention.

How Shrink Sleeve Labelling Impacts Buying Decisions

The buying process normally consists of requiring awareness of the product, recognizing it, searching for information related to it, evaluating it, judging alternatives, making decisions, buying it, and then re-evaluating it. These steps have been well researched by professionals including marketing and sales experts. Since shrink sleeve labelling allows more space to show off as compared to normal products, marketing departments use it to the fullest. They incorporate shrink sleeve designs with intricate and dense graphics, a plethora of information concerning the product, and slogans to attract attention. Using shrink sleeve labels for products not only catches the consumer’s attention, but also provides them with knowledge about the product. This ticks most of the checkboxes on the buying process list.

Showcasing Details

Using shrink sleeve labelling, you can display the special features your product has. Displaying just what makes your product special and different from the rest is the best way to gain a consumer’s interest. With that knowledge readily available, the consumer does not need to spend extra time finding out what your product consists of. Furthermore, you can display information targeted at a specific audience. For example, “No Dairy Products Used” can be a good and effective method of attracting vegan customers.

Building Customer Relations

If your product matches the description provided on the sleeve, you can gain the trust of a consumer. This attracts the customers towards purchasing other products in your inventory and make them a brand loyal consumer. If you keep delivering to what you promised, your customers are bound to keep buying while telling other people about you as well. It is a win-win for both the company and the customers.

Shrink sleeve labels are one of the most important and effective ways to market products and ensure that you get a good audience from the customers. Because of the points detailed above, shrink sleeve labels do influence buying decisions and can be a great asset to all companies competing in retail stores.

What Role does a LINAC System Play in Cancer Radiation Therapy?

Cancer is a disease that affects people all over the world. There aren’t any guaranteed cures for the fatal disease. However, one-way cancer is treated is through radiation therapy. In this, high-energy rays are used to prevent cancer cells from dividing and spreading further in the body. The rays damage the cells which is why they lose their ability to grow and spread. Linear accelerators or LINAC systems are large scaled pieces of equipment used for radiation therapy. Therefore, a lot of companies have started servicing LINAC systems and offer medical equipment repair as well.

How is a LINAC system used?

Linear accelerators emit x-rays or electrons with high energy. The specialty of this device is that it can attack cancer cells while preventing damage to other healthy cells of the body. Therefore, the patient’s body itself is free of harm and only the cancer tumor is attacked. Treatment using a LINAC system is suitable for use on any body part, so it can treat every kind of cancer tumor. The device works with multiple techniques, for example, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT etc.

Servicing linear accelerators is vital for the proper working of the system. Radiation therapy is the treatment option for many types of cancers. There are few precautions that can be taken when working with radiation. LINAC systems emit strong radiation beams which is why they are able to kill cancer cells. Without servicing LINAC systems, the best treatment results cannot be ensured. Repairing medical equipment like LINAC systems is extremely important in ensuring its suitability for medical treatments.

LINAC Mechanism

The equipment works like a radar in terms of its microwave technology. There is a part inside the linear accelerator where electrons are accelerated. When they meet the metal compartment, these electrons convert to high-energy x-rays. Special devices ensure that these x-rays leave the LINAC in the exact shape of the patient’s tumor so that only the specific area is treated. This is what makes servicing linear accelerators such a vital part of the whole treatment. If there is even the slightest misalignment, the radiation could attack the wrong part of the patient’s body harming valuable, healthy tissues.

In order to make sure that the radiation reaches the correct part of the patient’s body, the patient is set on a moveable couch. This couch can be repositioned in any direction to make sure the tumor is at the right angle and distance from the radiations. Alongside this, the LINAC emits the x-rays from a part called gantry. The gantry can be rotated to alter the angles of the emissions as well.

Safety

With such a powerful mechanism, there is no room for a mistake. The linear accelerator is designed to never emit a higher radiation than the oncologist’s prescription. Thus, servicing LINAC systems and repairing medical equipment becomes a point of life or death. If the device is functioning perfectly, the security of the patient is maintained.

LINAC systems play a major role in cancer therapy and so does repairing them. It is something that cannot be risked at any cost.

Acceletronics is an independent service company dedicated to delivering the best equipment performance and service reliability from Linear Accelerators and CT Scanners across all major brands and models. Is LASIK Safe For Seniors?

If you have some or a combination of the most common eye annoyances such as blurry vision, spots or night glares, then it is worth seeing an eye doctor or an optometrist who will examine your eyes for both vision and health problems. In some cases, eye doctors may provide low vision care or vision therapy, or correct refractive errors by prescribing contact lenses and or eyeglasses.

An ophthalmologist, on the other hand also specializes in vision care and will also perform eye exams, diagnose and treat disease, prescribe medications and perform eye surgery. An optician will use prescriptions authorized by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist to fit and sell your eyeglasses.

Understanding LASIK

So, when is LASIK vision correction necessary, who performs the procedure, what vision problems can the surgery treat, and most importantly, is it safe especially for seniors? Short for laser-assisted in-situ keratomileuses, LASIK is an FDA approved procedure that has proven to be a very safe and effective way to treat and correct common vision problems such as astigmatism, near and farsightedness.

While LASIK may not be suitable for people with strong lens prescriptions, such as a high degree of short-sightedness, however, the eye laser surgery can also be used to correct an aging effect that makes it hard for an individual to focus on things up-close using a technique known as monovision LASIK.

What To Expect During LASIK Procedure

The most important goal of eye laser surgery is to alter the shape of the cornea, so it does a better job of focusing images onto the retina for sharper vision. An eye surgeon performs LASIK using a cool, non-thermal beam of light that is computer controlled. The procedure doesn’t hurt because the surgeon places anesthetic eye drops in your eye first, then proceeds to cut across the cornea of the eye, raises a flap of tissue and carries out reshaping to correct your vision. While the entire procedure takes approximately 15 minutes per eye, the laser treatment only takes less than a minute.

People who qualify for eye laser surgery report an immediate improvement in their vision with no complications or side effects and because there’s usually no stitches or bandages required after eye laser surgery, recovery is also very quick. Therefore, anyone over 18 years and meets the requirements can benefit from LASIK procedure, this includes seniors too.

Are You Eligible For LASIK?

An eye care specialist can help you determine your eligibility for LASIK, but the general guidelines are:

  • You must be 21 years and older and have healthy eyes, which means your eyes must not have any conditions that will affect postoperative healing, including eye infections, severe dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, a degenerative or autoimmune disease
  • Your vision must also be stable for at least a year before surgery
  • Pregnant or nursing women are not eligible as hormonal levels can affect the shape of the eye

Therefore, consider eye laser surgery if you are tired of fumbling with contact lenses or eyeglasses and you meet the above requirements.

If you are looking to reduce or even get rid of your eye glasses and/or contacts let us at Rohr Eye & Laser Center help you! We offer several types of LASIK eye surgery including PRK, AK, CK, Cataracts surgery and more. We perform all these eye laser treatments with state of the art equipment. We are a leader in laser vision correction, and our goal is to help you achieve superior vision. Contact us today or view our website http://www.michiganlasik.com/  to schedule an appointment.

How Does Water Softener Work?

There are two types of water, hard and soft. Hard water is the most natural type of water that hasn’t been tainted by any chemical process. It becomes hard because before it reaches your taps at home, it seeps through the ground where it’s filtered by stones and mineral deposits containing all of the natural minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, etc. Drinking hard water is not harmful and could be a major contributor to cardiovascular disease mortality as well as that of calcium and magnesium to our diet.

Difficulties Of Cleaning With Hard Water

Hard water does, however, make cleaning task from laundering, dishwashing to bathing, and personal hygiene challenging. It makes soaps and detergents lose some effectiveness, and instead of lathering or dissolving completely, soaps tend to combine with the hard minerals to form a soapy mess.

This effect is evident because it leaves insoluble soap scum in your bathtub, washing basins, your shower, dishes, laundry machines, and roughens clothes too. Water softening is the process through which calcium and magnesium ions are eliminated from the water by using a mechanical appliance that is plumbed into your home’s water supply system.

Ion Exchange Method

There are different technologies including water filtration, and water purification methods that can be used to make hard water soft. Some water softeners use a process called ion exchange, which is the most popular and commonly used methods of removing the calcium and magnesium ions from water in your water to exchange it with two sodium ions.

The ion exchange system uses a mineral tank containing zeolite beads that carry a negative charge to attract and cling to the positive charge carried by calcium and magnesium ions. This means that these minerals will adhere to the beads as the hard water passes through the tank.

A very powerful solution of sodium ion is then flushed through a tank that has beads already soaked with calcium and magnesium so as to drive the calcium and magnesium ions off, the unit then enters a 3-phase regenerating cycle to produce soft water:

  • The backwash phase flashes out dirt from the tank
  • The sodium-rich salt solution replaces the calcium and magnesium in the recharge phase
  • The final phase flushes off the excess brine then refills the brine tank

This process is very effective, but it increases the salt content in the water, which might not be favorable to everyone.

Distillation is another water purification method of effectively softening and removing impurities for small quantities of water. It entails boiling the water to produce vapor, then condensing it back into pure water.

Where To Get Started

Before installing a water softener, use a water testing kit that measures hardness from 0-1000 ppm or 0-59 grains of hardness. Values of more than 1 GPG are usually considered to be hard water. Use a water softener that either has an automatic regenerating system that flushes and recharges the system on a regular basis or the type that uses a mechanical water meter to measure water usage and initiate recharging only when necessary.

At Reynolds Water Conditioning Company, we are here to help make sure our clients don’t buy water treatment systems that they don’t need.  We are here to make sure you find a water softening system that gives you the results you are looking for, whether it is to remove iron or odor from you water; we have a solution that will help!  For more information contact our experts at 800.572.9575 or at our website https://reynoldswater.com.

Pool Remodeling Ideas That Will Impress

Giving your pool that much-needed facelift has never been easy. Not only have swimming pool finishes undergone a massive remodel in recent years, modern pools have given new meaning to alfresco dining and a view to “die for.” Drab-looking pools are a thing of the past, and a swimming pool is not complete without the following embellishments:

Pool Plasters

The choices of residential pool plastering are now offering homeowner modern, reliable and beautiful swimming pool finish options that would put the standard white plaster to shame. While it has been around for as long as people have been building swimming pools and it arguably remains a popular and cost-effective choice, it is, however, susceptible to all weather conditions, especially for those of improperly maintained or fluctuating chemical conditions and will dissipate in appearances after a few years.

New generation aggregate pool finishes such as diamond Brite come in an array of colors and textures such as Aqua, Onyx, Pearl, Blue, Mohave, etc. that blend well with the environment to give any pool a luxurious surface that is resistant to chemicals and staining. The flex and colors of polished aggregates such as granite and quartz will give your pool a consistent, even luster that is durable and both etch and stain resistant. This type of finish also improves bonding and creates a smooth non-skid surface with less water penetration.

Options For Commercial Pools

Commercial pool plasters also offer tile band and coping finish options for areas on the top edge of the swimming pool with the most popular being pavers, tiles, natural stones like travertine and granite. Depending on personal preference, mosaic or ceramic tile band will add color, texture, and class to a pool and protect the waterline from fading and staining from the constant exposure to the sun and outside elements.

A pool is not complete without a finished pool deck, which can be achieved with different variations of ornate tiling patterns such as Mediterranean motifs, French patterns, or classical bonds. Glass tiles have been gaining popularity due to their aesthetics and resilience qualities. Not only do they not erode or stain, but glass tiles are non-porous and are resistant to moisture.

Adding Your Landscaping To Surround Your Pool

Having a water feature does add a touch of elegance and ambiance to your swimming pool area. Depending on what you have in mind, your pool and the surrounding landscape should have a luxurious air about it where you and your loved ones can enjoy and relax in. A great way to achieve this is by making use of flowers and foliage to create a variety looks and while at it, bring a little color, add texture and if needed, create privacy.

Bamboo trees and palm trees are ideal for creating natural enclosures and for providing shade. Using ornamental flowering plants, grasses or cactuses can really transform a poolside into an oasis. Adding Downlights under miniature spillways will bring a soothing and spa-like atmosphere to your pool for those nights when you have friends over.

Advantages Of Using An Independent Medigap Broker

You are on the right track if you understand that with Medigap insurance plans you are required to pay a monthly premium rate for a policy.  These policies help you pay for certain health care costs that are not covered by the Original Medicare Part A and Part B such as health care if you travel overseas, co-payments, and deductibles. You also cannot buy a Medigap insurance plan if you are under the age of 65 or if you already have Medicare Part A and Part B, which essentially cover hospital services and the cost for doctor services.

Why Choose a Medigap Policy

Additionally, Medicare policies do not cover private duty nursing, long-term care in a nursing home, routine dental and vision care, eyeglasses, or hearing aids. If you are planning to purchase a Medigap plan, the open enrollment period is six months from the first day of the month of your 65th birthday. You can buy a Medigap insurance plan from a private insurance company or through an independent agent who represents that company.  While the benefits of a Medigap policy are equally the same regardless of whom you buy it from, there certainly are many advantages of comparing rates between independent Medigap brokers.

Consider the following:

Training and Knowledge About Health Insurance

Independent Medigap brokers are sales agents who are not only conversant with different types of policies their carriers sell to help customers determine which plan best suits their needs, but they are also required to complete a pre-licensing training course, where they learn everything about insurance ethics, different types of insurance policies, as well as how different state’s laws apply to the type of insurance customers want to buy.

One of the main jobs of an insurance agent is to help insurance companies generate new business by contacting potential customers and selling them insurance. Therefore, an independent Medigap broker is able to provide you with some insights on the most reliable insurance companies. It is not uncommon to find one broker representing multiple insurance carriers that vary greatly in cost and coverage. A Medigap broker is well vast in the features of various policies, and he or she can explain in detail about the various plans to help you choose one that suits you best.

Helping You Find The Right Policy For You

Most people find very challenging when shopping for health insurance is understanding all the various Medigap plans. 4 Common Misconceptions About Medicare Supplemental Insurance

Also known as Medigap, Medicare supplemental insurance can be used together with Original Medicare Part A and Part B to help cover additional out-of-pocket expenses. For example, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayment as well as other benefits such as paying partial or even full coverage for overseas travel emergency care, Medicare Part B excess charges, and more. However, coverage for Medicare Supplement Insurance is standardized differently in states like Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Medicare Supplemental Insurance is also sold by private insurance companies who are free to set their own cost for any plan. You must at least 65 years or older, be enrolled in both Part A and Part B of Medicare and live in a state that sells the plan you are interested in purchasing because not all plans are available in every state.

The best way to shop for a plan is to compare offerings from multiple insurance companies in your area because the availability and cost of any plan differ from one insurance company to another. Which brings us to the next point:

Misconceptions About Medicare Supplemental Insurance

Medicare Supplemental Insurance Brokers

Most people think that they can only buy Medicare supplemental insurance plans directly from an insurance carrier and that it would cost them more if they used an insurance broker. This is not the case. Consulting directly with an insurance broker costs you nothing, in fact, it is to your benefit to make full use of their Medicare proficiency because they have complete access to many different insurance policies that may not be available to you, some which are too complicated to comprehend.

They can not only help you understand the details of a policy and also work out what level of cover you need, but they will also help you find a good deal and even negotiate premiums on your behalf.

Comparing Medicare Supplemental Plans

Most people feel that everything is straightforward and they can figure out everything on their own. Understanding any insurance plan is challenging let alone grasping the workings of a Medicare supplemental comparison plans that come in 10 standardized benefit packages labeled from A – N. You also need to be aware of the three pricing methods which will affect your costs, prescription drug coverage, and other alternative options. It doesn’t hurt to seek expert advice to ensure you are getting the best policy at an affordable price.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Another misconception is that Medicare does not cover prescription drugs. While Original Medicare Parts A and B cover outpatient prescription drugs under limited conditions, Medicare Part D offered through private insurance companies or purchased as part of a Medicare Advantage Part C plan offers prescription drug coverage.

Medigap Eligibility

Most seniors fear that a poor medical history might render them ineligible for a Medicare supplemental plan. Well, during your six-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, you have the right to buy any Medigap policy offered in your state and once you enroll in Medicare Part B and you are not required to answer health questions.

Three Ways To Increase The Value Of Your Home

Anything you hold near and dear is a potential investment, and like most investments, you want them to appreciate rather than depreciate in value. Many homeowners do not think about increasing the value of their home until they have to suddenly sell it or until it’s too damaged that any repairs would be as if pouring their money down the proverbial drain. Home improvements needn’t be rushed or put off for another day, in fact, given time, a few smart purchases, a little elbow grease, and a few helpful hands, you can boost the value of your home within no time. Consider the following tips:

  1. Exterior home improvements

The external structure of your home and its surrounding environs say a lot about you as a homeowner. You may not necessarily have a perfectly manicured lawn or a healthy rose garden, but with a few money-saving ideas, you can improve the exterior of your home and its curb appeal. For example, if you like flowering beds, consider planting flowers and shrubs that fit a minimum maintenance level.

Ground cover plants that are that is self-propagating such as ferns and ivy grow easily, and all you have to do is keep it trimmed. Consider also renting a power washer to remove stains, dirt, and debris from your sidewalk, driveway, and patio to ensure your grounds in entirety look well-maintained and neat.

  1. Structural Improvements

The exterior of your home is your first line of defense, and unfortunately, through no fault of your own, it is quite susceptible to the harsh elements. When siding begins to age, it fades to a dull and very unattractive color that becomes an eyesore. Fortunately, you can repaint or replace them with new siding that comes in a variety of colors, profiles, and textures. The goal is to find professional siding contractors who are more than willing to take the exterior of your home to a whole new level of elegance. Another addition to consider to your siding project is window replacement, but if the budget doesn’t allow, you can still achieve a wow factor for your buck with a lick of paint on your shutters, doors, and gutters too.

  1. Interior Improvements

If you must paint, always use neutral paint colors on your walls to give potential buyers a fresh canvas to work with. Remove all worn-out or dated wallpaper because not only does painting over old wallpaper a turn-off, but it also makes the removal process challenging. Replace scuffed or stained carpets and spend a little more on a new floor, preferably hardwood floors because they are trending and very easy to maintain. Paying close attention to things like the heating, drainage, drafty windows, or simply swapping the shower curtain for a glass shower door goes a long way. Consider buying new lighting fixtures, faucets, and handles, and have the tiled areas of the house such as the kitchen, bathroom, and floors professionally cleaned or re-grouted.

Reasons To Purchase Aluminum Fencing

No other metal can compare to aluminum when it comes to the many things you can use it for, which is what makes it ideal, especially for fencing. Aluminum fencing is one of the most versatile metals because of its flexibility, which makes it the material of choice for homeowners that have landscapes that are mountainous, sloped, or curved than they are flat.

Installing any other type of fence around a contoured terrain comes with quite a few challenges that necessitate specific installation methods. What makes aluminum fence panels ideal is because they are not only easy to install, but they are also rackable, and they can adapt to sudden grade changes that a few other fencing materials can’t.

Maintenance Free

While malleability is an equally important fencing characteristic, one of aluminum fencing greatest attribute is that it is corrosion resistant without any further treatment after it’s spun. Not only are aluminum fence panels rust-free, but the corrosion-resistant quality also makes this fencing material maintenance-free, and unless a homeowner wants it in a different color other than the usual black, with aluminum, there is no paint or coating to wear or scratch off.

Strength and Light Weight

Even though the light weight of aluminum makes it easier and more convenient to work with, today, this material is used in the construction of bridges and high-rise buildings, which makes it very sturdy.  It is the best choice for applications where high-strength and durability are the most important considerations such as aluminum driveway gates. Its inherent strength has made it the go-to fencing and construction material for superstores, hospitals, schools, offices, care homes, to mention a few.

When it comes to extreme applications, aluminum fencing is capable of thriving in some of the harshest conditions imaginable and can be engineered to be stronger than steel through special processing techniques. Therefore, depending on a homeowner’s preference, some aluminum fence panels can be made thicker and stronger while others can be processed to be as thin or light as possible to reduce the bulking and make them pliant for other applications.

Aluminum fencing is impervious to snow and the chemicals used to melt ice. It also comes finished with a multi-layer finish that has a lifetime limited warranty against flaking, chipping, and peeling. Realistically speaking, aluminum fence panels may not be as cheap as wood, but it is relatively inexpensive than steel and iron, and the plus side is, once an aluminum fencing has been installed, it won’t cost you a cent to keep up with its maintenance.

Environment Friendly

You will be doing your home a great service by purchasing aluminum fencing because in addition to its ability to be versatile, this fencing material is not only durable and can sustain its usefulness for over 60 years, but it is also eco-friendly and 100% recyclable making it one of the top contenders of metals that cause minimal disruptions to the environment. You can now purchase an aluminum fencing and be proud of driving through an eco-friendly aluminum driveway gate.

Modern Bathroom Updates For Seniors

The idea behind age in place remodeling is to help baby boomers who want to retire in their own home as, to do so safely, independently, and comfortably regardless of their income or ability level. Besides living on your own home is a lot cheaper.  Seniors seem to be happy and enjoy some perks of being close to their loved ones, where they can get on with a life that is familiar to them as opposed to a nursing home or aged-care facility. There are, however, many potential risks for injury to seniors as they age lurking around their homes and making a few but vital modifications can significantly minimize such risks.

Types Of Age In Place Modifications

Examples of simple, cost-effective age in place modifications that an aging in place contractor can make include but are not limited to mounting additional railings and grab bars, installing nonskid flooring, turning a regular tub into a walk-in bathtub, installing a hand-held flexible shower head,  increasing lighting, installing accessible switches at both ends of the stairs to boost visibility, and minimize the risks of falls.  Falls happen to be the leading cause of distressing death with seniors.

Bathroom Updates For Seniors

The bathroom is one area that can greatly benefit from aging in place remodeling because lack of support in the shower or bathroom certainly increases the risks of accidental fall. The bathroom is a constantly wet area and one of the best ways to improve this situation is to install a shower without a threshold so that somebody in a wheelchair or walking aid can move in and out freely even without help.

Choosing a flooring material for the entire bathroom floor is equally important.  It entails picking a material that is slip resistant, one with an anti-slippery coating that doesn’t move out of place, one that is easy to move over with a cane, walker, or wheelchair without slipping, it should also be one that doesn’t require too much cleaning and maintenance. Bathroom flooring materials such as stone, ceramic or porcelain should be avoided because not only are they hard and unyielding,  they also require regular maintenance, they are cold to the feet, and above all, tiles with wide grout joints or uneven surfaces can be a trip hazard for seniors.

Changes To Your Lighting

Bathroom lighting for age in place remodeling is very important because too much lighting or lack thereof poses a risk of tripping. Puck lights are modern and versatile lighting solutions that an aging in place contractor can install inside cabinets or as under cabinet task lighting. Light fixtures with a built-in occupancy sensor are ideal for aging in place bathrooms and if possible for the entire home. Important also is to choose faucets that are easy to open with little effort as well as adding non-slip railing along the walls for additional support and bring all cabinets to a comfortable height that a senior can reach upwards, but not too low as you don’t want seniors to have to bend over too much.
